What You’ll Need

Ingredients:

  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour

  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 cup sugar

  • ½ cup brown sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract

The Step-By-Step Process

Step 1 - Preheat the oven to 350°F, grease an 8"x8" metal baking pan, and set it aside.

Step 2 - In a medium-sized bowl, mix the dry ingredients. Sift the flour and the cocoa powder to remove any lumps, then add the salt, followed by the baking powder. Set aside.

Step 3 - Cream the canna-butter, granulated white, and brown sugar in a large bowl with a hand mixer.

Step 4 - Add the eggs and vanilla to the creamed sugar.

Step 5 - Beat on medium speed for one minute (the mixture's color should lighten a bit).

Step 6 - Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.

Step 8 - Transfer the batter to the greased baking pan that we set aside. Lightly tap the pan to even out the batter.

Step 9 - If you want to add any additional toppings, now’s the time.

Step 10 - Place the pan in the oven to bake for 25-30 minutes. The time will depend on your oven and your brownie consistency preferences. Test the finished brownies with a toothpick.

Step 11 - If you can wait, allow the pan of brownies to cool for 30 minutes on a wire rack before cutting them into squares and removing them from the pan.

Storage Options

Unfortunately, these gooey brownies have the same shelf life as any other baked good. You’ll want to store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5-7 days. After that, if any remain, individually wrap them in parchment paper, then saran wrap, and then store in the freezer to prevent expiration. They can last a very long time in the freezer.
